What's not to love.... drink this Grandma's Hot Cinnamon Chocolate Milk!

Whenever I visited my granny she made me yummy hot chocolate.
I found it always very special to watch my granny make her Hot Cinnamon Chocolate Milk in her kitchen.
My granny put the cups for her grandchildren ready on the kitchen table, while she she was heating the milk. In a small mixing bowl she made a mixture of a few spoonfuls of milk, sugar, cinnamon and cocoa. When the milk was boiling she added this mixture to the boiling milk and stirred it around.
My granny then quickly poured the hot chocolate milk into the cups. Added a cinnamon stick for stirring. I have added some small marshmallows because small marshmallows were not available back then. My granny had always a bright smile was on her face when she handed the cup to me. It was so yummy!
Ingredients for one drink:
How to make for one person:
heat the milk slowly in a saucepan
mix the sugar, cocoa powder with a couple of tbsp milk
when milk is boiling turn off heat and while stirring add the cocoa mixture
pour the hot chocolate milk into the cup
sprinkle cinnamon powder on top
add marshmallows
add cinnamon stick for stirring (optional)
Sweeten or add more cocoa to your own preference.
Tip: Use cinnamon stick instead of using cinnamon powder. Cook the milk with a cinnamon stick in it. When boiling, turn off heat and take out the cinnamon stick. Add the cocoa mixture and add the marshmallow.
Enjoy Your Winter Drink. Be careful not to burn your mouth!
Enjoy and Live Well!
