Appetizer "Eggs In A Bowl"

My children love this appetizer. It is such a great start of a holiday dinner!

Made with superfood eggs, curry, black pepper, chives and cheese.

Simple to make! I always make this appetizer with chives but you can use other herbs of your liking too.

Eggs are really a superfood. Of course you know life growth will start with an egg. It has all the nutrients you need to be able to build life. Eat an egg and enjoy the good stuff!

When I was growing up it was said that you could only eat two to three eggs per week because it was supposedly bad for your cholesterol. But later scientific studies have found that eggs are a good source of omega-3 fats and eggs even raise the good cholesterol in you blood. Even eating three eggs per day should be fine! More than three eggs a day is probably a little bit too much!

Eggs health benefits are:

  • eggs contain lots of minerals and vitamins, like Iron, Vitamins A, D, E, B12, Folate, Selenium, Lutein, Zeaxanthin and Choline

  • lots of high quality protein, for building and repairing muscles, organs, hair, skin and other body tissues

  • raise good cholesterols in your blood

  • good source of omega-3s

  • antioxidants for eyes

Chives are a great tasting herb.

I have them dried in my spice rack but today I bought a small chives plant. So this will give me the chance to cut whatever I need and have it fresh.

Chives give dishes a bit of onion and garlic taste.

Nutritional properties of chives:

  • might have anticancer effects

  • good for bone health
