Cottage Cheese Salad with herbs that are good for your skin!

It always makes me feel good to eat food that have a few health benefits. Food taste so much better when knowing it is good for your body, besides that it is tasty.
I know that the herbs basil and oregano do have a lot of health benefits. Basil and oregano are also good for your skin. Just like garlic and chives.
For this appetizer or side salad for lunch I have thrown in just a few items that looked good to me. The result was a delicious and healthy lunch!
Easy to make as well!

Health benefits of #basil, may be/have:
benefiting skin by removing dirt and impurities that clog pores
anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects preventing formation of acne
good for digestion and healthy gut
fighting free radical activity
fighting depression
managing diabetes
supporting liver function,
helping detoxify the body
Health benefits of #oregano, may be:

helping skin sores
helping fight bacteria
relieving inflammation and cancer
regulating blood sugar

Ingredients Cottage Cheese Salad:
2 small tomatoes, cut into pieces
pepper and salt to taste
1 glove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano*
1/2 teaspoon dried basil*
a few chives, sliced or cut
1/4 cup cottage cheese
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
crackers, preferable whole wheat

Preparations:
mix all ingredients together in a bowl, one hour before eating
put in fridge until use
enjoy with crackers
It is great to have the ingredients sit for one hour in the fridge to let the spices season the salad to perfect taste!

*If you are substituting 1/2 teaspoon dried basil and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano with fresh basil and oregano, then use:
1/2 tablespoon fresh basil and 1/2 tablespoon fresh oregano
